Lytle founded and served as Chairman and CEO of Equality Health, a company dedicated to expanding access to high-quality care, improving health outcomes, and lowering healthcare costs. By pioneering value-based care delivery in Medicaid, Equality Health now serves more than 800,000 patients across five states.
Earlier in his career, Lytle co-founded two national population health companies, Univita Health and Axia Health Management, focused on improving care for seniors and patients with complex chronic conditions. Axia’s flagship program, the Silversneakers Senior Fitness Program grew into one of the most recognized senior wellness programs in the country and how has more than 13 million eligible members nationwide.
His work has earned national recognition. Ernst & Young named Lytle the 2024 Pacific Southwest Entrepreneur of the Year and he was a national finalist for building a high-impact company focused on measurable healthcare transformation and social accountability.
Beyond business, Lytle is deeply committed to community service. He and his wife Barbara founded the Hugh & Barbara Lytle Foundation, which supports organizations working to create safer, healthier, and more inclusive communities across Arizona.
Lytle earned an MBA from Butler University and a BA from the University of Indianapolis. He and his family built their life in Arizona, where he believes the state’s future demands bold leadership, accountability, and solutions that rise above partisan politics.
Hugh and his wife Barbara have been married for 27 years and have three adult children: Emily, Hannah, and Harris.
