Hugh Lytle is a problem-solver focused on what is right for Arizona.
No drama. No games. Just decisions that make sense for Arizona.
So many candidates talk. But they don’t really speak. Citizens want more. Clear answers. Real results. It rarely happens. Until now.
Hugh Lytle for Governor. Breaking the rules, for you.

Decent, conscientious Arizonans now have to go into major debt to attend ASU, UofA or NAU. Enough is enough. With the advent of artificial intelligence we can now provide Ivy League quality education at a fraction of the price.
I will launch a new state sponsored AI University that provides an amazing education for just $99 per semester. That’s not a typo. It’s doable. As Governor and despite being a former quarterback at ASU, I’m prepared to challenge the trend of escalating tuition and work collaboratively to bring costs under control. My responsibility is to the student, to you.
The Peace Corps. The Marine Corps. American excellence. In Arizona, we have so many retired CEOs and accomplished professionals. It’s time we launched MentorCorps to inspire and educate the next generation of entrepreneurs.
Teenagers. College students. Adults. Organized under the Arizona Department of Commerce, all will be welcome to learn from the business pioneers and poets that have come before them.
Being on a team, whether you win or lose, teaches one key fundamentals in life: how to be competitive and collaborative. Yet, youth sports have become too expensive for too many. That’s why I will expand tax deductibility and charity benefits to more broadly cover all youth sports.
Similar to Joe Lieberman programs, I will use team sports to bring together kids from different faiths so they would build friendships before prejudice ever had a chance to form and to make it more affordable for every Arizona family.
I am glad we expend so much energy on economic development and attracting new companies here. But that indirectly enhances your quality of life. Imagine what can happen to your life and neighborhoods if we put that same effort into attracting the greatest teachers in America, as well as police officers and detectives, to Arizona.
Crime goes down. Test scores go up. Arizona is all the better. These efforts will be launched and prioritized under a more innovative Arizona Commerce Authority. We pay some college coaches upwards of $7 million per year. Don’t our police and teachers deserve a fraction of that to help us fulfill our best possible future?
Republicans want to upend the public K-12 school system with universal choice. Democrats want to keep the old system which was simple and terrific for neighborhoods. But now, both sides are in trench warfare. Some schools are winning, some are losing. In particular, some Arizona charter schools have become the best in the nation.
It’s far past time to deploy what they are doing to every public school in Arizona. Enough of protectionism. Enough of failing. Enough of closures. Enough of the ridiculous number of school districts in Arizona. Our priority must be on the students, parents and teachers, not the system that came before. But the new system that must be.
There is no greater ladder to productivity and decency than home ownership. Yet, a down payment for a house or condominium remains out of reach for so many. That’s why I am calling for a reallocation of school vouchers, which have become near universal in Arizona, to only be for those who truly need it. The balance of that money now used for the wealthier will be relocated for housing vouchers, providing important new resources for those on the cusp of owning.
It’s a substantial and potentially radical reform for more prosperity. Structured as low interest loans, this important part of a new social contract for Arizona has the potential to emancipate and elevate our fellow citizens like few other initiatives.
Federal Medicaid cuts are coming. I can’t promise miracles. But I can promise this: I know how to lower costs for this population without sacrificing care because my companies have done it. That will be a top priority of my administration.
Arizona families face rising costs and growing challenges, and many feel their voices are not reflected in government decisions. As an Independent, Hugh Lytle brings focused leadership and practical solutions, working across differences to move Arizona forward.
What if you could address your needs quickly and proactively? Ask your leader questions and get answers instantly? No talking points. No spin. No BS.
